This Easter, sweet penance at home

This year, on April 5th, Easter is celebrated at home.

This Easter, sweet penance at home. Although this year cannot be celebrated on the street because of the problem of coronavirus, many will celebrate Easter at home.
There are already many recommendations from dioceses and the church on the web to do so. For example, special decoration, celebrations, allusive meals, rites… etc. Everyone can make and take advantage of this time as they wish, it’s just about imagining it.
A Holy Week as a family and at home can be very fruitful and fun.
Maes Honey wants these days to be special for you and your family. Take advantage of discovering the traditions of this Holy Festival, holding craft and cooking workshops of the time and celebrating your own procession together.
Therefore, we will have to adapt to the current circumstances and be attentive to the proposals and advice that the means, collaborators and close friends give us.
We leave you a suggestive recipe with honey, traditional Easter, for that sweet penance at home:

Honey salmon

  • 1 tray of salmon fillets.
  • 1 tangerine.
  • 2 tablespoons honey.
  • Olive oil.
  • Salt.
  • Raisins.

We start by salting the salmon to taste and putting it in a frying pan on fire with a splash of oil. It is recommended first on a gentle heat, so that it is done well inside, and then raise the fire to brown the outside. Meanwhile, in a bowl we combine two tablespoons of honey and the juice of a tangerine. When the salmon starts to be brown, add this marinade. We will leave it only for a few minutes, over medium-high heat, so that the salmon finishes browning and caramelizes slightly. At that moment we will add the raisins giving one last heat stroke. You can accompany it with steamed broccoli and cooked potato. The result is exquisite!
